Despite the rise of newer platforms, Facebook remains the largest social network with nearly 3 billion monthly active users. For businesses, a Facebook page is often the primary online presence — and a QR code is the fastest way to connect offline visitors to it.
facebook.com/yourbusiness) — the most common choice. Visitors can like, follow, and message you.facebook.com/events/123456) — great for promoting events on printed materials. | Feature | Facebook Built-In | Custom QR Code |
|---|---|---|
| Design customization | Facebook’s branding only | 45+ styles, any colors, your logo |
| Works outside the app | Limited | Any camera app |
| Print quality | Low resolution | SVG for perfect print at any size |
| Link to events/groups | Profile only | Any Facebook URL |
For printed materials and branded experiences, a custom QR code is the better choice.
Use the vanity URL. If your page has a custom username (facebook.com/yourbusiness), use it. It is shorter, cleaner, and produces a less dense QR code than a numeric page ID URL.
Link to Messenger for support. If the goal is customer conversations, use m.me/yourbusiness instead of the page URL. It opens a direct chat immediately.
Add context. “Scan to follow us on Facebook” or “Scan to RSVP” tells people what will happen. A bare QR code with no explanation gets fewer scans.
Consider your audience. Facebook skews older than Instagram or TikTok. If your audience is 25+, a Facebook QR code is likely to perform well. For younger audiences, consider Instagram or TikTok instead.
